San Diego underground hip-hop artist Sham Blak returns with Man of My Word, a new 10-track album built around authenticity, accountability, loyalty and personal legacy.
Throughout the project, Sham Blak delivers direct lyricism grounded in life experience and the principles that have shaped him. The album’s title reflects its central message: your word represents your character, and your actions determine what your name stands for.
Man of My Word features appearances from K4NO, Destruct, NVY JONEZ LKR, Mischif, Lorde Smis and Mr. Brady. Each guest contributes a distinct voice while supporting the album’s focus on purpose, growth and staying committed to your values.
K4NO joins Sham Blak on “Power and Capability,” a motivational track centered on confidence, accountability and recognizing your potential. Destruct appears on “Principles, Loyalty, Legacy,” with cuts from Tone Spliff, while NVY JONEZ LKR contributes to the reflective track “Intentions.” Additional appearances from Mischif, Lorde Smis and Mr. Brady bring more variety to the album without taking attention away from Sham Blak’s overall vision.
Production contributions from Seas On The Slap, Shile, PHD Beats and Yellowbone Productions give the project a well-rounded underground sound. The production provides a raw foundation for Sham Blak’s storytelling, sharp bars and commanding delivery.
Rather than chasing mainstream trends, Man of My Word stays rooted in independent, lyrical hip-hop. It is a project for listeners who value substance, conviction and artists who stand behind what they say.
The album adds another strong chapter to Sham Blak’s catalog while reinforcing his place within San Diego’s underground hip-hop movement. From beginning to end, Man of My Word represents an emcee remaining loyal to his identity and building a legacy on his own terms.
