San Diego’s underground hip-hop scene continues to make noise as DJ Who and Hauntology connect for their new single, “Muppitz,” released through WHOSMUSIC.
Driven by DJ Who’s gritty production, “Muppitz” gives Hauntology a dark and hard-hitting backdrop for politically charged rhymes. Hauntology delivers sharp social commentary, questioning the systems, power structures and political forces shaping everyday life. The record encourages listeners to look beyond the headlines and think critically about what is happening around them.
Rather than following current trends, “Muppitz” stays rooted in the tradition of conscious underground hip-hop—using music as a platform to challenge authority, confront uncomfortable realities and spark conversation.
DJ Who’s raw production complements Hauntology’s direct lyrical approach, creating a record that feels urgent, rebellious and uncompromising. Together, they deliver a track for listeners who want substance with their beats and bars.
“Muppitz” is another strong addition to San Diego’s independent hip-hop landscape and the growing WHOSMUSIC catalog. It is a reminder that underground hip-hop can still inform, challenge and move the culture forward.
