San Diego’s underground hip-hop innovator SCVTTERBRVIN has unveiled his latest project, Cabaret Voltaire, a boundary-pushing collaboration with Dresden-based producer Fiqqouw. Released on May 25, 2025, this album draws heavy inspiration from the Dada movement, reimagining its revolutionary energy through a modern hip-hop lens.

Cabaret Voltaire is a sonic collage that challenges conventions, much like its namesake—the Zürich nightclub founded in 1916 by Hugo Ball and Emmy Hennings, which became a hub for artistic experimentation and defiance. The album merges past and present, offering a bold take on these values.

The album features collaborations with Pedalay The Boss, Talaj KVMI, and Ullnevano, adding diverse voices to its avant-garde soundscape. Tracks like “Piano Of Doom” and “Dark Asia” showcase the album’s experimental nature, while “L.H.O.O.Q.” pays homage to Dadaist Marcel Duchamp.

Cabaret Voltaire is available for streaming on major platforms, including Apple Music, and for purchase on Bandcamp. Limited physical copies are also available through Red Lotus Klan’s official website.

For those seeking a hip-hop experience that defies norms and embraces artistic experimentation, Cabaret Voltaire is a must-listen.
