The new collaborative album “Mobsters & Monsters” release between Vancouver, Canada underground Madchild as well as San Diego, CA Obnoxious. Madchild whom rose to success in the late 90s/early 2000’s with the hip hop group “Swollen Members” & Obnoxious one of the first new acts to join Suburban Noize Records since the label’s relaunch in 2019. Obnoxious & Madchild are joining forces for “Mobsters & Monsters“.
“Ambush” is a rugged trap opener with the Hi-Hats moving with both artists flexing their lyrical power, where “Black Out” is a strong introduction into boom bap world thanks to C-Lance getting more intimidating. Veteran Sick Jacken features alongside for the grimy yet inspiring “Work for It” to keep things moving as far as sound goes. But then “Drop Off” advising to prepare with a gripping instrumental and visuals to go with.
